José Bomfim (Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, 1981) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Talavera de la Reina, Spain. He practices painting, drawing, collage, and assemblage, using materials such as acrylic on plastic, traditional tempera on wood, and various techniques on paper. His compositions combine the classical aesthetics of the Italian Renaissance with modern Expressionism, incorporating objects rescued from industrial waste to explore the persistence of memory and the ephemeral nature of life.

His work explores the unity of knowledge and the richness of the world through a fragmented aesthetic, juxtaposing classical motifs with a lyrical and ironic commentary on contemporary reality. Among his notable projects are Memory Cards, a series that revisits iconic native landscapes using recycled credit cards, and Please Repeat, collages about the tension between the mathematization of the world and human spontaneity.

He has exhibited in São Paulo, Madrid (Casa de Brasil), Terrassa (Espai2), and Toledo.
